Believe In Yourself

Here I decided to do combine colored line drawing

with bubble letters

I drew the words first
then I started working on the lines (circles) around the letters
after that I filled the letters with gold permanent marker.

Here is an up close for more detail :)

Believe in yourself and take care,

#WOYWW 351 New Goodies :)

Do you see what I see?

My new Gelli Plate got here just yesterday :)
now I have to find my little brayer lol
picking right next to the gelli plate is the bed caddy
that I've been working on
I'm not showing it just yet because I am not done with it :)

On top of the Gelli Plate you can see some printing blocks
to make my own stamps, can't wait to play with them :)

Right on top of my printing blocks is an old make up glass jar

From then you can see the rest, pens, brushes
and my art journals :)

Thanks for visiting :)

Fear and Freedom

Here are a few things I learned about fear,
a feeling that we all had it at some point in our lives.
Fear is an unpleasant feeling of anxiety
Fear brings weakness and trembling
Fear takes away your strength.

But here is what Isaiah 41:10 says:

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Here is what I know about Freedom
Freedom is not being affected by something unpleasant, painful or unwanted
Freedom is the right to do something or going somewhere without being controlled
Freedom is the power to do what you want to do
Freedom is the ability to move or act freely.

Here is how I made this journal page
first I sprayed the page with a little green and blue
just to have a little base color on the page
(no gesso this time)

then I decided on my color palette

then I decided to make the whole background
by printing with regular everyday items

Then I made a frame on the page using white paint and my finger :)
and some glitter on top of the white paint.
Once dry I wrote the quote
with a brush pen

Thanks for taking a look :)

Be Kind Journal Page

I made this art journal page with the idea to participate in a challenge about kindness
the funny thing is that I can't find where that challenge was :P
O.k. so that would be me... I try to be organize
but when things happen at home like
the vet telling me that my pet, which I had for 12 years, is dying
and then two days later my younger daughter goes down with a fever
(which she still has) things get a little off here at home
and at work too, since I can't go to work with my daughter sick.

Anyways, here is my Be Kind journal page

Here is how I made it:

the background is leftover paint brushed on
then I drew the girl with a pencil
and I actually made a face for her
but since I didn't like it, I covered it with beige paint
then I painted the hair using a small brush
and left it to dry.

Then I moved onto the words
which I made with just plain black paint and
the smallest paint brush I could find on my desk.

The heart and the doodles are stamps.
And then I added glitter on the hair.

Done! :)

I hope this journal page inspires somebody
to try it out. It's super easy. Nothing to it :)

With Love,

Clemencia

Cupcake Art 101: Patience

This little art journal page
was a learning experience for me.

I decided to be daring and do something different,
let me explain...

for the background I used one of the pages of my gratitude journal
glued ripped texted paper randomly here and there.
while that was drying I started making the cupcake
on a separate paper

I used a big index card where I sprayed some paint

and as you can see I used a read cupcake liner to make this project

the next step was painting the cupcake part
and outline it with white scribble paint

now... mistake #1 not waiting for this part to dry
mistake #2 taking pictures with my crappy cell phone lol

then as you can see here my cupcake is tilting
so I redid the cupcake liner to make it straight
mistake #3 looking for perfection in my art
(something I have never done before :/)

I cut it out and put it on my gratitude journal background
which it wasn't planned that way by the way :)
so here is mistake #4 not letting everything dry completely
before cutting all around the cupcake; it was wet, heavy and flimsy.

and here is my final product
mistake #5, since it was still wet
I couldn't turn the cupcake part around to apply glue on it
so I applied the glue on my background - big mistake -
now that is dry you can see the shining from the glue :/

Oh well, my art is done, perfect of not lol
and I had to show it to you since it took so much effort
and share my learning experience so all the beginners out there
don't make the same mistake.

So I am going to call this #artjournal page

Determine Your Reality

I love to read and learn
a lot about self help, self growth,
psychology, health and anything else
that brings my attention that is non fiction :)

This little sentence got my attention
as soon as I read it

and knowing me, I got inspired to do some art with it :)

I wish I remember where I read it
but I don't :(
but I am glad I wrote that little sentence down.

Take care :)

#WOYWW 349

Ahhh... My work table finally looks descent :)

I have my next project lined up
is one of those bed caddies that hold your stuff
I had it next to my bed for a while
then it got so heavy I took it off
I was going to give it away
but then I decided to get creative with it
I remember one of the tutorials from 21 Secrets Spring 2015
which is what I am going to try here :)

Can't wait to get started :)

What are you working on?

Taking More Classes and Step by Step Tutorials Coming Up

The more I look at what I love to do
the more I realize that I love learning.
I love taking classes, and learning new things,
either by reading or videos,
and I have made a goal to embrace that.

So for now I am showing you what I learned
in the Line Drawing Class by Lisa Congdon
making leaves, that I just noticed I didn't finished lol

and that's because I got excited to learn
how to draw this poppy flower :)

seems like I have to sit down
and do some coloring
and I think I'll give watercolors a try :)

I am taking more classes
and creating step by step tutorials
come follow me and lets learn together

How Do You?

It's amazing to see how once you learn to be organized
and you get out of that routine
it affects your whole day and sometimes your whole week.

That was the case for me this week
I was so sick last weekend
that I didn't plan my weekly dinner menu
I couldn't go shopping for food
so I ended up going to the supermarket
three times this week which I don't like
since I prefer to go to the produce market better.

I felt so weak that I only had energy to go to work (wrong choice by the way lol)
and cook dinner, anyways, what I was trying to get to is that
the whole week I had felt a sadness that I couldn't explain
then I remember that meditation brings me peace, relaxation and clarity
after doing that for just two days,
it came to me, it just hit me!:
I need to go organize my art table so I can do art
I mean, look at this mess....

it is embarrassing :/

Well... I finally empty most of the table,
and I am ready to do some more art.
I think part of that sadness I felt the whole week
was that I didn't do art at all, I didn't touch a crochet,
I didn't do any of my creative passions.

Has that ever happened to you?
Not being able to do what you love for a while?
How do you get over it?
How do you go back to it?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post
and share your answer with me :)

Stay Healthy :)
